Barbara completed her Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Oklahoma. She began her career as an occupational therapist at the Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center. An opportunity to develop her growing interest in treating hand injuries arose and she then joined a hand therapy specialty clinic. Barbara moved to San Francisco and continued to specialize in hand therapy at a bay area hospital dedicated to replantation and limb salvage. She eventually moved back to her home state of Oklahoma and after working in a variety of hand rehabilitation clinics, came to HPC Hand Therapy. Barbara is a Certified Hand Therapist and has focused on rehabilitation of the hand/upper extremity for over 35 years. She has experience treating traumatic injuries, post operative patients, tendon lacerations, fractures, nerve injuries, arthritis, and repetitive strain injuries. She has a special interest and experience in custom fabrication of splints. Barbara attended a 2018 update on current techniques course from the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys long distance cycling, any outdoor activity from gardening to skiing, and spending time with her triplet daughters.
